Dreeme Beginnings

THE ROOTS

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to an African-American father and a Scottish mother. Growing up as a mixed race child in Brooklyn taught me so much! Not only how to survive but, to accept and embrace a variety of cultures, art forms, and lifestyles. Dance was a major part of my life as a child, as well as storytelling and writing. I would spend many afternoons creating choreography in my room as well as writing stories and poetry. I always seemed to find my solitude in my own mental creations which were often more enjoyable than what most young people would find interesting.

I really entertained myself!
For years, I unknowingly served as an energetic catalyst to those seeking inspiration, advice, entertainment (I can be quite the character) and connection. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings. I created Dreeme Life with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind.
